Save Games for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords

SPOILERS ARE REDUCED TO A MINIMUM - THIS FILE SHOULD BE SAFE TO READ.

The save games for the PC version of the RPG by Obsidian Entertainment were
made on the vanilla v1.0 (v2.00 in the splash selector). I studied a few FAQ's
before embarking on the game, both from http://www.gamefaqs.com and also from
http://www.gamebanshee.com. The one I trusted (and based) most of my decisions
on, however, was the excellent FAQ by Dan Simpson.

If you study the accompanying screenshots you can see how I created my player
character. There are screenshots of the character and feats screens from both
the start and end of game, and of the equipment overview as well as the powers
from the end. Some of the data in these screenshots will be repeated below, and
additional data such as skills will be listed. I won't go into detail about how
I equipped the player, however, because it can be changed on the fly so easily.
I'll leave it up to you to determine if you find my equipment satisfactory. If
you don't like it, there is a ton of alternative equipment in the inventory.

After having studied a few FAQ's, I decided to create a Jedi Sentinel and play
as a goody two shoes, going strictly for light side mastery. I hit the boundary
pretty quick, and as prestige level 15 I went for Jedi Weapon Master. I made it
a male character named Bror Vagn, slightly modified from a suggestion by the
random name generator. It suggested Bror Vaon, but in Danish "Bror" actually
means "Brother" and Vagn happens to be my fathers brother (and often referred
to him in the same manner). To top if off, my uncle usually had a beard much in
the same line as the character in the game, completing the irony of it all. =)

I used no cheats or exploits of any kind, including only clicking the dead jedi
in the secret tomb once hence not harvesting respawning baddies. The following
list includes bonuses from equipment at the end where I am facing the bad guy.

Feats and force powers will not be listed. You can refer to the screenshots and
scrutinize the icons to get an idea of what I selected during the game (or even
better yet - load a save game and check it out yourself).

As you can see, I designed the character to hold his own regarding additional
challenges such as security panels, reparing and removing mines.

Additional notes about the save games:

o The planets were visited in the following order: Onderon, Nar Shaddaa,
Dantooine and Korriban. I assembled my first light saber on Onderon.

o In the first game I played Revan as a male and also made him a goody two
shoes, and I told Atton the same things in the beginning of the game.

o The player character was designed to buff with Master Energy Resistance,
Master Speed and hit with lots of Master Flurry, sometimes complimented
by Force Stasis and perhaps Force Wave.

o Early in the game I hit an odd glitch while talking to T3. The recording
of Bastila was shown, but afterwards, her hologram is shown close to the
exit of Ebon Hawk. Eerie, but harmless - I completed the game without
any problems regarding it. However, she did help me out as I had to fight
a certain intruder for the first time (although it didn't help much).

o I influenced my party as well as I could. Most of them were influenced
in a positive way, and I managed to make Bao-Dur, Handmaiden and Atton
jedis, in that order. I tried influencing Mira too, but I didn't really
need her as a jedi too, so I didn't follow up on it. Kreia was a circus
or fluctuating influences, but she can't be affected much anyway.

o I preferred using Kreia as jedi support and later Visas as a third in my
party. Visas became quite powerful in the last third of the game.

o Regarding Mandalore, I followed Barry Scott Will's recommendation and
made him a one-handed melee fighter instead of guns blazing.

o I never talked to Kreia about upgrading my personal name crystal from the
crystal caves, so there may be a lost opportunity there that you may be
able to improve upon. It did give me a lot of basic bonuses, though.

o Regarding party members converted to jedis, I didn't deliberately try to
hold levels as recommended by certain FAQ's. However, since I didn't use
Handmaiden much, she did benefit from this technique anyway.

o Didn't touch swoop races at all (apart from a single training race) but
on Citadel Station I did play some pazaak and won a deck of cards.

o The game was indeed very easy and loot was plentiful. Most of the game I
looted everything I saw, but towards the end I deliberately skipped the
loot from bodies. Not much was sold or broken into components, except the
odd three of four times I needed it for lightsaber upgrades or medpacs.
You will find a large inventory with a lot of crap practically no matter
what save game you choose to load.

o I completed rebuilding HK-47 after Dantooine (the third planet of choice)
and checked out his dialogues, but never used him in battle.

o I tried to close all quests I stumbled upon, but two remained hanging to
the very end. One of them was "Redemption" - giving jedis a good name on
Dantooine - which couldn't be completed due to a bug in the game. The
other was "Battle Circle" - I procrastinated with the two last one-on-one
fights on Dxun as other quests had to be done first. Later (after having
completed a few planets) the Mandalorians were no longer interested in
fighting in a circle on Dxun. Too bad.

Have fun with my save games. The characters in these save games should not be a
problem in battle - I managed to complete the game without dying at all. Just
remember to enter the inventory and use a medpac when low on health in the hard
battles, and you'll be fine too. =)
